International Charging Standards
CHAdeMO(Charge de Move)from Japan, designed to provide high-power quick charging services for electric vehicles. This standard was initially developed by a consortium of companies, including Japan Electric Vehicle Club, Tokyo Electric Power Company, and Nissan Motor Co., and has gained widespread international recognition. Under the CHAdeMO standard, specialized plugs and connectors are used between the charging station and the electric vehicle to facilitate rapid DC charging.
CCS standard
CCS(Combined Charging System)an integrated charging solution that combines the Mennekes AC charging standard widely used in Europe with the SAE J1772 DC charging standard used in the United States. It utilizes the same plug as the Mennekes Type 2 AC connector with two additional DC pins beneath it. This design enables CCS to support both AC and DC charging, accommodating the charging needs of different regions and vehicle types.
GB/T standard
GB/T standard encompass various aspects of new energy vehicle charging in China, including technical requirements for both AC and DC charging, interface specifications, installation guidelines for charging facilities, and usage protocols. It serves as the primary standard for new energy vehicle charging in China.
IEC standard
IEC(International Electrotechnical Commission)is an international standards organization responsible for developing international standards covering various electrical, electronic, and related technologies. In the field of new energy vehicle charging, IEC is involved in the development of charging interface standards, such as the IEC 61851 series, which specifies interface requirements for both AC and DC charging.
Tesla Supercharger standard
Tesla, as a globally renowned electric vehicle manufacturer, has introduced its proprietary fast DC charging standard known as Tesla Supercharger. This standard is specifically designed for Tesla electric vehicles, enabling high-power rapid charging at Tesla Supercharger stations. It provides Tesla owners with convenient long-distance travel charging services.
ISO standard
participates in the development of standards for new energy vehicle charging, promoting international standardization and interoperability of charging technologies through a series of standards it has established. For instance, ISO 15118 standardizes communication protocols between electric vehicles and charging facilities, enhancing the intelligence and network connectivity of electric vehicles.
